Galatasaray finally managed to win the first match of the season away, in Ankara against the rivals of Ankaragücü. If we don't consider a couple of danguerous shots and various passes and crosses, Galatasaray dominated the encounter during the 90', even if the first goal has been an unfortunate own goal scored by the Czech defender Rajnoch. After a few minutes Kazim, the best on field, doubled the lead with a wonderful shot. The 3rd and last goal was scored at 90' by Baroš, who converted himself earned penalty kick.

Ujfaluši's rating of the match:
One of the best, thanks to his experience and positioning the team hasn't conceded any goals. He saved the situation a couple of times by blocking dangerous balls at the hedge of the area. He was rated 6,5.
